WORK: WORLD MOVIE WATCHING CHAMPIONSHIP

SERVICES: EXPERIENCE DESIGN, EVENT CONTENT, MEDIA + PR STRATEGY

NETFLIX

To bring awareness to Netflix’s streaming tv service, we staged a “Movie Watching World Championship,” an attempt to break the Guinness Book® world record for non-stop film viewing. Held in a fishbowl studio in Times Square, eight contestants from around the globe watched 57 movies in a grueling 123-hour stretch (that’s over 5 days!). Ultimately, Claudia Wavra (Germany) and Suresh Joachim (Canada) were still conscious at the end, jointly claiming the world record and “Popcorn Bowl” prize.

RESULTS: We managed all of the online PR and social media promotion for the event, including photos, videos, and special celebrity appearances, including Susan Sarandon and Richard Simmons.
